Terms of Service

Last updated: February 12, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ValidGen ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms at any time and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

ValidGen is a security scanning service that analyzes public and private GitHub repositories for common vulnerabilities. The Service scans code, generates a security report with a Vibe Score, and provides actionable fix recommendations. ValidGen does not store your source code — only scan metadata and findings are retained.

3. Accounts & Authentication

You must sign in via GitHub OAuth to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account and any activity that occurs under your ValidGen account. You agree not to share your credentials or allow unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to scan repositories you do not own or have permission to scan.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, or decompile the scanner engine.
  • Use automated tools to abuse rate limits or overwhelm the Service.
  • Resell, redistribute, or white-label scan results without written permission.

5. Free & Premium Tiers

ValidGen offers a free tier with limited scans and rules, and a premium tier with expanded capabilities. Premium subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time via your account settings or by contacting support; access continues until the end of the billing period.

Refund Policy: We want you to be satisfied. You are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase, no questions asked. To request a refund, please contact us at [email protected]. After the 14-day window, refunds are not provided for partial subscription periods.

6. Intellectual Property

ValidGen's scanner rules, UI, branding, and documentation are proprietary. Your code remains yours — we claim no ownership over repositories you scan. Scan results (findings, scores) are provided for your use and may be shared at your discretion.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. ValidGen does not guarantee that scans will detect every vulnerability. A clean scan does not certify that code is secure. You are solely responsible for the security of your applications.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ValidGen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to security breaches in your applications.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
